I hated the times when I was unable to go outside to practice hitting the baseball
due to stormy weather. I would sit by the window in anticipation for the rain, thunder
and lightning to stop so that me and my dad could go outside to practice hitting.
Because my mom and dad did not play baseball or softball in their youth, it was not
a high priority to sign me up for baseball nor were they financially able to as part of the reasoning. They made a way for me to sign later in my youth and I was very happy.
Like most little leaguers it was very hard at first to make contact with the ball. Often times I struggled in practice and games and felt butterflies in the games when it was my time at bat. I lacked confidence in making consistent contact. Missing out on batting practice due to stormy weather was awful. I would get anxious on those days because I knew I needed all the practice I could get at hitting. Sometimes it would be too hot outside or too cold to practice outdoors. Sometimes my buddies or family were unavailable to help me practice. I would sit in my room on those days wishing I had a batting practice tool that would
allow me to practice my hitting, in the safety of my home when the weather was bad or when my buddies and family were not available.
Due to the constraints many little leaguers in youth baseball face today I created a new revolutionary and inexpensive device called The Hitting String. It is the answer many youths have been waiting on. With its lightweight portable design and, multi-color ball system, youth athletes with some adult assistance to initially set it up can continue practicing their hitting when the want irrespective of the weather outside or schedule conflicts with buddies and
or parents freeing them up to do what they want.
